Price-Sliced Entertainment for Christmas

4 December 2012

I've reduced the price of The Ultimate Show -- my most recent collection of SF & fantasy short stories -- for the run-up to Christmas. This Kindle edition is now available for $2.05 (incl. sales tax) from Amazon.com and £1.28 from Amazon.co.uk. None of the stories in this collection have been published before in ebook form. A reviewer wrote of the four stories collected in The Ultimate Show that they are "tight, inventive and pleasingly nasty." In other words, just the thing for a spot of seasonal palate-cleansing. This ebook could be the perfect virtual stocking filler for your Kindle-toting friend!

Let Me Entertain You

13 November 2012

My latest ebook for Kindle, The Ultimate Show, brings together four of my short stories on the theme of shows. If you love attending rock gigs and stand-up comedy nights, or perusing artworks in galleries, or perhaps are guilty of spending a little too much time watching football (or soccer) on TV, then these are the stories for you.

My latest ebook for Kindle is now on sale at Amazon. None of Our Yesterdays  compiles two of my alternate history stories, The Peace Criminal and The Eye Patch Protocol. This time the theme is war and its aftermath. The cover picture is by Tony Hughes.

Dark Matter Sighting Confirmed

4 September 2012

The Danish translation of Dark They Were, and Strange Inside, has been published in issue 95 of Proxima, the magazine of Science Fiction Cirklen (Danish Science Fiction Society). Very handsome it looks too.

13 July 2012

Dark They Were, and Strange Inside, a short-short SF story first published in Nature 'Futures' in 2010, will be translated into Danish for reprinting in Proxima Magazine later this year.

Rural Diptych

16 June 2012

New story, A Walk in the Rain, and its predecessor, A Walk in the Woods, have been accepted for publication in Postscripts, the prestigious anthology series from PS Publishing. Peter Crowther, editor of Postscripts, has told me that he intends to publish these stories as a diptych in a future issue. A Walk in the Woods originally appeared in Interzone 189 (2003). I've also had stories published in issues 7, 9, 17 & 26/27 of Postscripts.
