Good to Go originally appeared in Electric Athenaeum.

** The Original Indeed! **

15 October 2019

I thought I'd finished writing my Reeves series of all-dialogue stories three years ago, but late last year I found myself wondering what reward I could offer backers of Eric Fomley's Kickstarter for his Sins and Other Worlds anthology. So I wrote a prologue, which I included in a special edition of my Reeves Indeed! ebook, which certain backers received.

Now it feels like the time is right for every Reeves fan to find out how their favourite robot butler met his (alleged) master. Well Met is free to read here.

19 September 2019

I'm delighted to announce that a short film of Andrew Wallace performing his SF story The Minus Four Sequence at this year's Virtual Futures "Autonomous Agents" event has been selected for the Bio-Fiction festival in Vienna (23-24 September). Although I was  named in the the nomination (together with my fellow co-curator Stephen Oram) the achievement is all Andrew's. He wrote a fantastic story and performed it flawlessly at the event without reference to a script. I remain more than a little star-struck.

Nova Still Visible

Televisual Moondust Memories

Updated 27 June 2019

If you are following the build-up to the fiftieth anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon-landing and live in the UK, you might be interested in watching The One Show on BBC Two at 7PM tomorrow (27 June). James Burke -- acclaimed TV presenter from that era -- appears in a short documentary film that was made especially for the show. I also feature in the documentary, which only lasts about four minutes, so it’s probably a case of blink and you’ll miss me. The subject is, in part, some rare films that a friend and I recovered from collectors in the 1990s, which contained unique BBC footage and commentary from the original Apollo 11 broadcasts (featuring James Burke). It may also touch on the influence the Apollo era had on my subsequent life (assuming those segments made the final cut!).

If you are UK TV licence payer and miss the programme, you can catch up with it on the BBC's iPlayer for 30 days after its transmission.

The Moon and Me was produced by Alleycats TV. Below is a publicity picture for their film.

Do Return to Go

26 February 2019

I'm delighted to announce that Little Blue Marble will be reprinting my SF story Good to Go. As its name suggests, Little Blue Marble publishes fiction that addresses the theme of climate change, a subject of overriding significance to me and soon, I think, to us all.

Good to Go was originally published in Electric Athenaeum last year.

The first Virtual Futures Near-Future Fictions anthology is now available as an ebook to pre-order from Amazon. I understand that a paperback edition will follow shortly.

Final Bitty Backing

20 February 2019 (updated)

The Kickstarter campaign for the Itty Bitty Writing Space anthology (which will include a reprint of my SF story, Bee Futures) is now in its final phase. With less than 48 hours to go, it's pushing hard to build as big a pot as possible to pay the production team and contributors. If you'd like to back this anthology there are still some fantastic rewards available.

STOP PRESS: Last minute rewards for backers incude a bundle of 11 free ebooks from anthology authors, including Reeves Indeed! from me. Click here for details.

Sinful Eye

7 February 2019

Shacklebound Books has published its Sins and Other Worlds anthology, initially as an ebook, although it will soon be available as a PoD paperback as well.

Editor/publisher Eric Fomley has assembled an extraordinary line-up for this anthology. It's the first time I've ever rubbed shoulders with Robert Silverberg--one of my favourite writers--in a table of contents!

My contribution, The Eye Patch Protocol, was originally published in End of an Aeon (Fairwood Press, 2011).

Bitty Backer

4 February 2019 (updated)

The Kickstarter campaign for the Itty Bitty Writing Space anthology (which will include a reprint of my SF story, Bee Futures) continues to go from strength to strength ($6000 promised so far). Although the library donation option is no longer available, new rewards and bonuses are being added regularly. Today, I heard that every backer ($1 and up) will receive an e-copy of Flash Fiction Aficionado magazine in addition to the rewards they signed up for.

The Kickstarter will continue to run until 22 February. Click here for details.
